Solid Surfaces
Seamless surfaces, invisible joins
Corian, Hanex and Tristone: mouldable, renewable surfaces for kitchens and bathrooms that want clean lines without visible seams.
The material that bends the rules
Solid surface is different from stone: it can be curved, moulded and joined so cleanly that a whole run of worktop, upstand and integrated sink reads as one piece. That makes it the go-to for modern kitchens, bathrooms and commercial fit-outs where hygiene and clean lines matter.
It is warm to the touch, easy to live with, and genuinely renewable: fine scratches sand and polish out, so a ten-year-old Corian top can be made to look new in an afternoon. We stock Corian, Hanex and Tristone at the workshop, so lead times stay short.
Integrated sinks, curves and coved upstands
Because solid surface is thermoformed and joined with colour-matched adhesive, we can build shapes stone cannot: integrated basins with no rim to catch grime, curved island ends, and coved upstands with no silicone line to discolour. Every piece is fabricated at our Ipswich workshop and finished by hand.
Dining tables and statement pieces
The same skills make one-off pieces: dining tables, reception desks, vanity units and outdoor bar tops. If you have an idea that does not fit a catalogue, talk to us. Our rule of thumb has not changed since 1995: if the material can do it, so can we.
Honest answers about Corian and friends
Is it true that Corian can scratch?
Yes, Corian is softer than stone and can pick up fine scratches. The difference is that the surface is fully renewable: it can be sanded and re-polished to look brand new, which is not possible with laminate and rarely practical with stone.
What brands do you stock?
We supply and install Corian, Hanex and Tristone, and keep stock so you are not waiting weeks for material. Each brand has its own colour range and price point; we will help you compare them in the showroom.
Why choose solid surface over stone?
Seamless joins, moulded-in sinks, curved corners and easy repairs. Solid surface is the most flexible material we work with, and its warmth to the touch suits bathrooms especially well.
